Stipe si riferisce al fatto che ha devoluto gli incassi del download a Extinction Rebellion, movimento socio-politico non violento per evitare i cambiamenti climatici, fermare la perdita di biodiversità e minimizzare il rischio di estinzione umana e il collasso ecologico (Wiki).

Stipe aveva già eseguito dal vivo Your Capricious Soul durante un concerto con Patti Smith alla New York’s Webster Hall, Dal novembre il pezzo è sulle piattaforme di streaming ed è uscito anche il video ufficiale, firmato dall’artista Sam Taylor-Johnson, vecchia conoscenza dell’universo R.E.M.
